Unbelieveable...

Hello again everyone, it's been a few days since I last posted, and I don't want another lapse, which will almost inevitably result in me never posting!
Anyway, on to the post:

Terror in London, they said it would happen sooner or later. I turned on the news when I woke up at the crack of noon last thursday, and I couldn't believe my eyes; bombs on the underground, and on a trademark red london bus... The day before I was there, people were walking around with London 2012 flags, the city was happy, and the red arrows put on a celebratory display. How things change within 24 hours...

The City had gone from elation, to dispair, people on the tube trains and the number 30 bus were probably reading about the olympic victory in their newspapers, moments before the bombs went off, changing and destroying lives forever.

However, in the week we celebrate the allies victory in WWII, the blitz spirit seems to live on, people are still using public transport, going to theatres and gigs. London, and the rest of Britain will not let these terrorists win, or change our way of life.

I am probably one of the least patriotic people you will ever meet, but for the first time in a long while, possibly ever, I feel proud to be British. Terrorists may aim to make us "quake in fear", and change our way of life, but as these past few days have shown, they have failed.

Rant over...

If you feel like it, please visit these sites for other views on the bombings:

Hooray for Birthdays.

Yay! yesterday was my 19th birthday! Thats right, the big One-Nine.
My ticket to the Keane gig was my main present from my parents, along with couple of little presents so I could have "something to open on the day." (you must all have heard that one) And along with money etc, my birthday was quite presentless, apart from some fantastic pressies from my always gorgeous girlfriend Becca.

In addition to this, I was treated to a surprise day out, and I didnt know what we were doing, or even where we were going until the last minute. It turned out to be a wonderful day, we headed up to London, (all expenses paid of course!) and caught the tube into the direction of Shaftesbury Avenue, to go into the cool little UGC Cinema that plays all the foreign and independant films. I'll post more about the film itself soon, needless to say it was superb!

Finally, while we on the way to the cinema, the Red Arrows flew over our heads! (twas deafening) but an amazing sight! Oh, and congratulations to the London olympic bid people, should be quite an event. (And at least Paris didnt get it.)

Hello again!

Lol, I know I promised a post a couple of days back, but I never quite got round to it!

I'm currently looking around for a blogskin at www.blogskin.com , but I'm having a hard time finding the skin for me. I'm sure within weeks, maybe even days of actually finding one, I'll think that it's time for another one! Any suggestions of akins would be useful, although I'm not holding out too much hope! :D

In other news, I've had my hair trimmed, and in an illegally similar post to my good friend Rob, I'll post up a timeline of my hair for all to see ver soon.

And finally, last night I went up to Hyde Park for the 'Wireless' Festival (in association with o2, obviously). The acts that I saw were: James Blunt, Rufus Wainwright, Supergrass, and finally Keane.

All the acts were very good, but in the end it was Keane who stole the show. I'll quite happily admit that I'm a big fan, and I was really looking forward to the show. They did not let me, or the rest of the massive crowd down. With wonderful vocals and perfect instrumentals, Keane did themselves proud. Easily one of the best bands I've seen, and a punch in the eye to all the critics.

Until next time...

Here it is...

... My blog!

As it stands, I'm not sure if this site will have a particular theme, so for now I'll update with anything interesting that happens etc.

Anyway, I'm tired! So I'm going to sleep!

I'll do a proper post tommorow!
Until then...
